Almost full circle from a year ago- with our posts starting right around the completion of the US Open. Some thoughts/ramblings:
- i know it is against my nature to believe this- but man, Mickelson is really not clutch at all
- ricky barnes' painters cap looked retarded
- fred funk should have been disqualified as we all witnessed first-hand; he signed an incorrect scorecard on Friday for not counting the ball falling off the tee on the 3rd tee-box (as we so graciously/drunkenly pointed out)
- $6 a beer + outdoor drinking + 11 am start time = a lot of unfamiliarity while watching the last two days of the Open
- johnny miller used the following terms/phrases during Sunday's broadcast: 'poop out the ball', 'skanky irons that needed to be banged out', and 'cock' (though to be fair, the last term was used in a slightly different context)
- weir and sato (sp?) played together on sunday and weighed combined less than 300 lbs.- that lead to some real self-reflection on my part
- speaking of weir- i don't mean to sound like some crazy nostalgist, but for some reason i feel like hybrids should be illegal
- to re-iterate a point from last year, a full year of playing later, both timberlake and roethlisberger can still beat owitz counting 18 holes verse his 9
- jeev milhka singh uses a female caddie
